We hope our first week back in college (or first week of college for some freshmen) went well! We’re so excited for this Thursday because it’s our FIRST PRACTICE OF THE YEAR!
Collegiate taiko is growing in the West Coast, but we are one of the few groups that have no auditions–we welcome everyone and anyone who is interested regardless of experience levels. With Kazan you will find a safe/comfortable environment for self-expression, building confidence, a group of people to call family, and of course all while learning the art of taiko and getting a great work-out too!
We’ll be holding two informational sessions this week and the next, so come learn more about who we are and meet some of the members!
- Info Meeting #1: September 4, Wednesday, 8-9PM @ WPH B28
- Info Meeting #2: September 9, Monday, 8-9PM @ VKC 152
We have also have three open practices coming up on Thursdays 6-8 pm on September 5, 12 and 19. If you can’t make the info meetings, come directly to practice and see if Kazan is for you!
We’ll be teaching the very basics of taiko, so just bring yourself and have some fun with the beats. We’ll be practicing off-campus at Senshin Temple (1311 W. 37th St)–please fill out the form so we can organize transportation.
