Winding Down the Semester…

Hey everybody!

Kazan has been hustlin’ and bustlin’ as we wind down the semester! Here are some things we’ve been doing– lots of performances, some social events, and of course, a lot of fun 🙂

October 6 RETREAT– Kazan members got together to make bachis and hachimakis! We had a member auction where much food (yes, of course) was sold off!

October 17– We had the amazing privilege of having Kris Bergstrom give us an amazing workshop! We learned a lot about Matsuri techniques. Many thanks to Kris for always coming back and giving us the opportunity to improve!

October 18– We performed for USC’s Language Academy at Town and Gown! Much thanks to the Academy for giving us a chance to perform.

October 20– Kazan volunteered to help at Reverend Mas’ retirement party held at the Senshin Temple, where we practice. Senshin and Kinnara Taiko has always supported the growth of Kazan Taiko and we’re so blessed to have them allow us to use their practice space, and give us great workshops!

October 25– Kazan performed for the throng of parents that came here for PARENTS WEEKEND!

Photo: Kazan's performance for the Trojan Family Weekend this morning was a blast! A shout-out to all the Trojan families who were there and everyone else who stopped to watch! FIGHT ON!!
